Heres a seedling that is about 9 months old blooming in an 8 inch pot. These things amaze me but don't bloom long enough to suit most people.
More Coral trees
That is beautiful!!!!
Gorgeous! You definitely have the magic touch!
most people don't know you can grow them in a big pot and they require very little care. Love mine.
Bidwillii?
They may not bloom for long but they sure put on a show when they do bloom.
ardesia this is E. Variegata picta (green form) was from variegated parents but came up green.
**Sigh*..
That's a beauty, Kyle! I didn't realize it would bloom so fast from seeds. I believe I have some seeds I better start than.
:) Donna
Love it, I'll have to look around for some seeds.
Linda I have a few seeds left.
oooooohh, I would love to have them. I'll d-mail you.
well phooy mine hasn't bloomed. Wonder if it is because we had to cut the top out to put it in the garage for winter
Donna they bloom on the branch tips, that probably is why you didn't get flowers. :-(
That's a cool plant. Is there a trick to getting the seeds to germinate?
I just soak them in water for about 24 hrs then plant.no nicking
Kyle,
Absolutely amazing. Now I have to have one! Should you ever come across seeds again, kindly keep me in mind.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
Erick
What is the latin name? How big do they get?
Erythrina variegata picta (green form) they are tropical and can get 30 ft tall and nearly as wide depending on the variety. Some varieties are smaller.
I have better success if I nick the seed before soaking
Oh shoot...thought I had this one. I have Erythrina caffra and Erythrina Herbacea. Top Tropicals does have Erythrina indica seeds on sale so I'm off to buy some.
Dale can do ..if yu send me cuttings of this one! ;-)
WOW, that is a beauty.
