Loggerhead Shrike
Some old pics 4
Beautiful pics!!! Love the L. Shrike!
I am absolutely blown away!! Donna, you're always saying such nice things about other folks' photos . . . I'm glad we get the chance to compliment you - they're awesome!
everyone gets some good shots and bad. My motto is a Bad pic is better than no pic anyday. I might take 600 pics on an outing and keep 50 to 100. Lots and lots of bad shots. These pics I posted are over about 4 years when I was more able to get around and get them with the big heavy Olympus E-10 with TConn 300 zoom lens. That bugger weights about 5 lbs. Can only use it now without the big lense. I just can't hold it anymore. DH got me the Panasonic DMC FZ50 for Christmas. Oh and I am learning to love it. It is light as a feather and has 10MP, 10 or 12x optical zoom and 2x & 4x digital zoom. You can actually get great pics with the 4x digital zoom unlike on the Canon Pro 90IS. It is only good on the 2x. 4x is totally distorted

I too am blown away by the variety of birds you have captured on film. I delete most of my pics too. My camera has so many features and I have only worked with the tip of the iceberg. I really need to experiment more with it.

Donna: a red-bellied woodpecker stopped by our birdfeeder this morning and stayed for several minutes pecking at the food and looking around to see who was in the area. What a beauty! Thanks for your picture. I was too mesmerized to think of taking a picture.
