Horrible news and pictures from central Florida today. I hope and pray all the plummie people are OK.
Are the Florida folks OK?
Good news indeed.
I heard from Brad (Ncasselberryfla) earlier today. He said that there was lots of rain at his place. I haven't heard from my other friend Brad (flyboyFL), but I don't think he lives near where it hit. I'll check on that. Roger Galle isn't in that area either, I don't think.
I corresponded with Plantladylin this morning. She didn't get much sleep but was ok. I thank God that it wasn't worst than it was. No warning in the early morning must have been awful for so many. My T& P are with all those effected by last nights storms.
Well said, Jeri. I just checked it was not near our friend flyboyFL. This is indeed a terrible thing. Here's an article: http://www.breitbart.com/news/2007/02/02/D8N1V47G0.html
No -- no problem. Plenty of rain and thunder -- but those storms are selective. They've been racing across in narrow bands -- we were lucky.
Anyhow, we need the rain.
Be well
:)
I am most likely driving there in the morning...
I can't sleep..
My grandparents live in ladylake and i see her neighborhood on the news..
The weather channel is broadcasting live from there and showing the damages every 5 mins..
I have not heard from them since before the storm and her phone line is dead no tone or nothing..
I am very worried and i got a sick feeling in my stomach..
We will try in the morning to reach her or her friends who live in the villages..
The ladylake tornado was around 150-170mph according to the weather channel expert..
errrr this sucks!
:(
Brad, I'm so glad you checked in and are all right:-)
Oh, my, Robert. I'm so sorry to hear this. Please let us know, and our prayers are with you and your grandparents.

Hello,
I just got back today from ladylake..
Took me 6 hours to get there due to the traffic..
My grandparents are fine the tornado was down the street and did not affect them..
My grandfather said his house was hit with some hail but all is ok..
He told me that he has never heard of so much thunder and lightning in his life..
He said it was relentless and nerve racking..
Thanks clare, hetty, jeri, beverly and others who pm me..
