I just got word from Jennifer W. that the Houston Plantmeet @Mercer park will be held on April 21,2007.

Is this the Mercer plant sale or the Daves Garden meet?

Neither. The RU is April 28 in College Station. And Mercer's March Mart is March 23-24.

Gymgirl, this should help. Not related to Mercer arboretum, however, that is the meeting place. Around 200 people get together for plant exchange, good food, and great visiting. At least 1/2 the crowd are repeat participants. I love to go, but it is so darned far for me, I'm still undecided. Nadine, aka Moodene here on DG is one of the organizers.
There is also a yearly swap in Missouri City and one in Clear Lake. Hopefully somebody from those swaps will post here w/ particulars. I haven't been to either one of these.

Moodene, my little group is going. I have already emailed Jennifer. It was quite enjoyable last year even though we didn't know anyone until Flowerjunkie showed up. Mine was the car that wound up with all the gingers on top! What a sight that was!
