Hi,
I have several dwarf fruit trees (Apricot, Peach, Pear, Cherry) and many berry bushes (Currant, Gooseberry, Raspberry, Blueberry) and I am wondering when the best time to get them in the ground would be - posted this in Edible Fruit forum as well, but then realized this might be a great place to ask as well.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Fruit trees and Berry Bushes - best planting time?
hmmm ...
I was planning to sink things into the ground some time around April, but that's not based on any real knowledge. I'll be interested in the responses here also ....
You lucky buggers in the Willamette Valley only need to wait till the final freeze is past. Imagine only being able to look at zone 4 plants and trees. That is our sorry lot. My guess would be in mid-March.
I just planted 10 raspberry plants last weekend. They had them at the nursery (had them for a good price too) in sawdust anyways so figured I would just get some and put in the ground and mulch real good.
I also planted some rasp. and blueberry plants a few years ago at this same time of the year and they are doing just fine.
If they have them in the nursery, they should be okay to plant. Especially if they are in pots anyways. The ground is better than pots.
But just my 2 cents worth.

I live east of Seattle about 10 miles - the prevailing "wisdom" is that if the ground is not frozen, or too wet, you can plant.
I can't say that I have ever planted shrubs or trees quite this early, but the plants that are still in pots are doing well, so why not plant now? The only thing that would make me nervous is being subjected to one of our famous windstorms after planting a tree.
