Spell Checker in Firefox 2

I know there is a spell checker in Firefox 2, but I don't get the drop down box everyone is talking about to correct or add words, etc.

I do get the red swiggely underline when a word is misspelled on DG, but not other sites.
I've gone to Google images to see what it looks like before I posted here and also to the Firefox Help page, only to find that it is embedded in the browser, but I don't have it.

I'm not believing that I have had Firefox 2 since it came out, and am just learning about this feature......
