Hello Jo from North Vancouver, BC......I notice you are on the Rose Forum....that's where I live on Dave's. Elaine......This rose is called Bayse's Purple and it is hardy to zone 2&3.....

I stumbled upon this thread by accident - thought I'd pop into the Canadian Forum - and saw my name on the thread (blush). I will be sure to check in more often; after all one can only take so many pictures and postings from zones 9 & 10+ (no offense mommum!) without wanting to cry for living in zone 3A. lol.
Elaine - that is a gorgeous rose, I love the color! Rose forum has definitely been one of my favorites too. I've also been snooping around looking for information on starting seeds indoors - I plan to try that this year and I'm itching to get started!

DG is so much fun, I joined about a year ago when looking for lily information and now I'm getting into a ton of new plants (that I never even would have considered before) because of seeing what all the other DGers are growing. You'll get way more then you bargain for here, but thats a good thing!
