new Alsobia Cygnet babies

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I finally grew some Alsobia Cygnet babies. I kept putting it off because I did not think I could do it for some strange reason. But I finally decided to give it a try a little while back and look at my new babies. I am so happy with them and can't wait until they get a little bigger. Aren't they so cute?

They are, Jesse. I have a plant that is about a year old and am sorry to say that it hasn't bloomed as yet. But it looks happy.

Yours look so healthy. Good job.

They're adorable!

I've got a couple of little ones that I put down 5 or 6 months ago... they're still alive, and they've rooted, but they're not growing at all... I may try switching them to wick watering so they stay more constantly moist... How are you growing yours?

Me mine think their weeds lol Slow donw some as it's cold heat runs non-stp not good humidty and no light. But I always have one blooming and have several babies that want their onw pots.
These are very forgiving plants and can handle more than Episcas. But do like food, light and humdity . And moist.
Jesse cute babies!

I have a small greenhouse inside my big greenhouse and I keep mine in there. I have found that using the little greenhouse for all of my cuttings really makes a big difference. So I keep all of my new cuttings in there and it seems to really help.

By "a little greenhouse" do you mean a stand with a plastic zippered cover?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes. It has a bottom, a middle and a top shelf. The top shelf is taller because it goes up into a peak. I think it is about 4' tall and about 2' deep. Those are just rough measurements. But it sure does come in handy. I use it for all of my cuttings and they have done really well in it so far. I have another one but I can't find the plastic that goes over it. Hopefully I will find that one soon.

Here is a photo of the mini greenhouse, looking through the one that does not have a cover.

Love that mini greenhouse too.

Is the greenhouse made of wrought iron? Looks like it. I'm am sure you just love it. Looks just the right size for growing "new" plants.

I found some shelves recently at Ikea. I posted a picture of them somewhere. I'll try to find the picture or take another one. It is wrought iron and glass. The light from the window really filters to all the shelves AND most important the price was right, just 29 dollars.

Here's the picture of the shelf.

Pretty shelves nanna. Great buy!

No mine is not wrought iron. It is just some sort of lightweight metal painted green.
