I have had this plant for a long time . It was only a twig when I got it. It has grown quite large but no blossoms. what am I doing wrong?
Why won't my Jazmine blossom?
Hi Audrey,
Is it a "winter jasmine" - the type with small leaves and almost tubular flowers that vines easily? or is it a wide leaf jasmine - this type is a little woodier? The wider leaf version likes cool temps down to 60F or 50F and good light (like a south facing window). Mine bloomed in Sept, after we had that cool blast in August. Right now it's sulking and just sitting there.
I wish I could remember where I read that info, there might be more.... I'll look around some....
Tamberlin
Hi Tamberlin, Sorry I took so long to answer. I must have the "Winter jasmine"small leaves. No blossomes. I have it in an upstairs bedroom, for the winter. No heat but not to cold. It's near the window. Is there anything else I can do to encourage blossoms. Thanks for any info you can give me. Audrey
If a plant does not bloom it's usually due to not enough light or fertilizer. Up the light level and feed it half strength miracle grow or 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 every other watering.
Tom
Thanks Tom, I'll try fertilizer. It gets plenty of light. Audrey
