Help with ID

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

The other day when I was at Bluebird's I picked this little baby up and did not even check the tag. Can anyone help me with this ID. I have a photo of the plant plus a photo of the tag. Maybe some of you can help me figure it out.

Thanks,
Jesse

What a little beauty!

From the look of the plant, I'd guess it's a "species" Saintpaulia, maybe a strain named 'Mather', rather than a hybrid... I'll see if I can find something on it... I don't remember coming across the species name "confusia" before, but I like the idea of a confused plant, LOL, would sure suit me some days.

Critter,

Thanks so much for your help. Because of it, I have found the one that I have on a website. Once again, thanks so much. Oh, here is the site that has it. http://www.tbg.org.tw/~dollyyeh/s_confusa_mather_2002avsa.jpg

It's really beautiful Jesse. I really love that a/v. I'm going to have to try growing one of the species. I also want to try 1 chimera and 1 strep this year.

Here is another photo of Confusa 'Mather'. I'm so glad that it finally has a name. http://www.gesneriads.ca/saint52.htm
