It occurs to me that those of you who lives in points other than Ontario could share in the Ed Lawrence gardening phone in.It is on Ontario Today CBC Radio One (Ottawa) on Mondays from 12:30 - 1:30 ET.
You could porbably get this on other Ontario local CBC's but this is the link for Ottawa.

Then it says - CBC Radio One Ottawa. Click there too and in the pop up window select what is most appropriate for your system.

Radio Gardening Phone-in show
Hi Ann,
We have been trying to get him as a speaker for our garden club, as he apparently lives in the Almonte area so it wouldn't be far for him to travel. I'll have to let you know if we manage that. He's a popular guy! Very knowledgeable too.
I was surprised I could listen to the radio live, due to dial-up. But it works!

I've started to do it fairly regularly. But if there's a radio on nearby, there's a bit of a delay on the Internet. I'll bump this thread up next week so that others who aren't in Ontario might be able to listen in next Monday.
Bump. This phone-in show is every MONDAY. Very interesting and if you are near a computer you can listen as you do other things.

I met Ed Lawrence yesterday at a book signing in Arnprior! He was very nice, soft spoken and was answering peoples' questions. The fellow in front of me said he managed to get through 'once' to his radio show. I wonder how many people call in.
