At the Zellers at Hillside, they have a bunch of ~6' palms on for sale: $20!!! But I was more excited to see the 3 white Bird of Paradise, each about 5' tall and looking very good, also $20!!!! If only I had the room. I still have an orange BoP and think if I brought home one of these beauties, I'd be sleeping outside with it.

LOL Linda!!!!! Surely Cheryl would let you keep one SOMEWHERE!!!! I won't be in town until Wednesday so will check it out then and see if there are any left. I wouldn't mind a palm. I have a couple of plants in my house that are not doing well, so may have to replace them. I have a large Buddhist pine that was a transplant from a neighbour. All of a sudden, the last couple of months it is dropping leaves and small branches. I am hoping it is lack of sun or something! The weird thing is that it still has new growth on it! But it is not looking well at all!
DH would look if I drove in with a 5 foot palm!!! Well, I did something similar last year. Bought a 5 foot Euryops and brought it home in the PT Cruiser, so I guess I could do the same thing!!!

I told Cheryl about them and she asked where it was while she rolled her eyes. I'm thinking the reaction wasn't so bad so I might have to get on myself..... we'll see. I'll sleep on it.

I am getting a bit of spring fever so may have to start frequenting the Marigold and Cannor just to see what's there.
Just getting prepared to start some datura and brugmansia seeds. I have 5 Sanguinea seeds so hope I can get something to grow!!! I had one two years ago, and it didn't do much, but then I found out they don't flower the first year. And besides, I lost it in the frost! Sure glad I have my brugs inside..........thsi freezing stuff is just the pits!!!

I was there today Linda but not much left, at least nothing that I wanted. They were all sitting outside and it was still pretty cool out, so I wonder how hardy the plants are and what they will look like tomorrow??
