I'm happy that my violets are blooming, but wish I knew their names! All of them were purchased locally and none were named. I guess you have to buy online to get named AVs, heh? I'm pretty sure I'll be buying some of 'Ma' varieties from Rob's this Spring. Anyhoo, thought I would post a pic of my 2nd noid in bloom now. Thanks for looking!

Noids Abound....
I love the shading on those blooms!
Hey, there's nothing wrong with noids! One of my favorites is a standard noid that I call "Big Blue." It's the toughest AV I've come across.. once mature, it's constantly in bloom, even in my MIL's less than bright window (their home is surrounded by huge oak trees). So, while I do grow a bunch of named varieties, I also have some noids that I wouldn't give up no matter how crowded my plant space became. :-)
I know I've posted this photo more than once, but I just love this plant...
Hubba! Hubba! Hubba! ''Big Blue'' is breathtaking, Critter!
WOW GH and Critter those put alot of my named ones to shame! Gorgeous!! : )

Those are both great. : )
Truely beautiful. Look at those shiney leaves!!! Looks all dressed up and ready for Sunday School.
Gh your plants are beautiful ! Your foliage is so clean and shiney and healthy love the dark foliage next to your beautiful flowers !
Sometimes at local stores, HD, Lowes, Wal mart people find named AV's.
Join in our Spring Secret Swap maybe you will get some named leaves :))
GH, it's beautiful!!! Looks like it just had a spit shine.
Critter, love the blue!!

Love "Big Blue" ... Really Pretty! I'm never attracted to blue flowers for some reason, but that one is Special!
With all those new threads, I've just now come back to this one... Sounds like "Big Blue" has a fan club, so I'm thinking it'll have to be my pick for "Violet I LOVE" to add to the February Bingo list!
Actually, I found a really old store-printed tag the other day in an old box... for 'Harbor Blue'... and I realized that "Big Blue" might not have been from Home Depot after all... I got a couple of noids, and then I bought a 'Harbor Blue', and I thought I'd long since lost the named one, but maybe it was just a mixup... When you only have 4 AVs, you think they don't need tags in their pots -- wrong! It does look a lot like 'Harbor Blue', but since there's really no way to know, I'm just going to keep calling it by its noid name!
Oh Jill I've grown Harbor Blue sure does look like her ! Harbor Blue great plant ! Not always easy to find either . Your's is a beauty !
