Latest mystery....

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Taking a shower, I looked out the large window and saw a piece of 'parachute' float past with a seed attached...and it was caught by one of the plants hanging outside. The fine fuzz caught the leaf (or the other way around) and the whole seed and fuzz stayed there until I could get dry and out there to get it. NOTHING I know of is in seed!!! It's a large seed, so I suspect one of the Eriostemmas...but....which one? I look up there every day and haven't seen a seed pod. So...I caught the seed and planted it...one lonely seed. No clue where it came from....but in 2 to 3 years I might find out when it blooms!!!! or not!

Hmmmmm?

Way, Way, WAY COOL!! It might be from one of those that has scrambled high up into the trees. Did you say a while back that one of them was so high up you couldn't actually see the blooms? What fun!!
