Hi !
I took those pics last summer, by the entry to the Bottom Oaks Park , here in Portland. Both those shrubs are about 5 feet tall and I wish to be able to buy and plant them, the problem is I dunno what they are. Would they be some type of hybrid musk rose??????
help with the identification of the plants
It looks like Rosa rugosa 'Blanc Double de Coubert' to me. Search on this site and see what you think. If it is, they're very drought tolerant and you can easily buy them online, especially from nurseries that have old roses. I'm from Portland too.
thank You kerrydrury a lot. :)
I saw some Blanc Double de Coubert roses at the rose garden at the Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. they were beautiful and had a lovely aroma. They were one of my favorites that I saw there.
thanks a lot mauryhillfarm...:)
Are these the super-duper thorny kind? That get huge hips? I want some too! :)
Yes, they have very mean thorns!
