The most beautiful rose in the award winning Victorian State Rose Garden, as of today a few feet high in the trial beds. Blue seems to be a very hard colour for [some?] cameras to register, so it might not be possible to convey the AMAZING colour the petals go as they age; it's like the blush on black grapes or plums; a kind of mauve blending into a very cool cerise at the centres. One of the most annoying thing about looking for roses on the net is the variance in hues between photos. It's very hard to know which is true to life and which have been tweaked to make them 'nicer' [but wrong]. As a rule I try not to muck around with images, but here I have made an exception and tried to replace some of the blue my camera didn't catch. I hope the image/s are right. If not, please feel free to let me know. Screen calibration can have a lot to do with it, apart from possible bad judgement.

Those are beautiful dgusr! You should add them to the entry too though, click on the link in the first post above, scroll down and click on 'Upload an image of this plant' and upload and submit each one.

Many thanks, Calif_Sue! I'd thought that was what I was originally doing, and would never have known better without your helpful and kind comment.

The images have now been submitted as per instructions.
