Blue water lily - today's shots

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

This is one of my better shots of this beauty. It's been flowering continuously for the last ten months and hardly one or two days have been without one being open. It's simply a marvellous sight. The pond has settled so well now that life in it is thriving beautifully. The few varieties of small fish are enjoying their time. And so we, outside it, looking joyously.

That is one pretty shot. I love the way the light is playing on it. It's absolutly glowing.

Dinu: Gorgeous! The dominant color in my water garden currently is brown. So, thanks for sharing your luminous photo!

Thanks. The beauty of photographing this particular flower is its luminence. To the naked eye, it does not seem so. But when the pic gets uploaded to the PC, it seems to glow! Almost as ilf a layer of charcoal is at the bottom! Shooting this has been a favourite too. In this shot, I have used another lens (from an old broken slide film viewer) to go closer to the object and almost inside the flower. My garden too is getting brown now as the plants are getting reay to take on the tropical summer heat.
