help with sowing seed

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Hello!

I posted this over in the hibiscus forum as well http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/685856/ . I would like tips on starting hibiscus calyphyllus seed I collected this year. So far I haven't gotten any germination even though it is fresh seed. Is there something I need to do like soak them or something?

Thanks, Kim

time and more time for a lot of the species. I had some H. dasycalyx that took 3 months this fall and then they all just popped up at once. Did those tomato seeds get there yet?

Thanks....I guess patience just isn't one of my strengths...lol. I will try them again and just keep waiting. Yep...the tomato seeds did get here, thank you so much. I had to wait a couple days to get into the mailbox though, it was frozen shut with all the ice we got. I'll be starting them tomorrow.
