I'm so bummed...

A friend on Friday told me she knew someone who wanted to give away a 14 week old Sheltie puppy. A little bi-black male. She asked if I wanted it, since I had mentioned on and off that I was thinking of getting a second dog.

I said I would like to see it. Perhaps she could bring it to the park and we could see how Darby and the pup would get along? Well, long story made short; I didn't get the puppy. My friend just called to tell me the girl had found another home.

I can't believe how disappointed I feel! I had told myself all day not to get my hopes up. I had passed up on other dogs in the past, thinking they would not be right for my little family of Darby, Buddy and Hazel. I guess I just let myself get too worked up about it, and now knowing that I won't have this pup is making me feel really down.

I can't believe how hard it can be to get a dog! :(
