Dale I have a couple of types that I have enough for a border. Takes some time to build up the numbers. :-)
Don't tell me let me guess..the large first pic was a vriesa Imperialis?
Kyle, it had no tag, but, Selby uses a lot of Imperialis and I am pretty sure that is one. I stopped at Tropiflora on the way to Selby and bought some of their very expensive broms on Sunday. Good thing it is not my money (it is for a job).
From the blue Aechmea 'Del Mar' clock wise it is... Del Mar, then the large growing Alcantarea imperialis 'Purple' which I use instead of Vriesa, gets just as big and is cheaper by 2/3, then Neomea 'Santa Marta' and last Aechmea 'Romero Reginaldo'
Not the best photo, it is getting dark.
I also bought 2 Queamea 'Flame', they don't bloom for very long, but what a flower! and they grow fast and make a nice ground cover.
Again this is a dusk shot, daylight is fading fast.
