Here is what I got with my gift certificate from AV Bingo! A super scooper for potting soil, a frog figurine, and something I've been wanting for years................twisted tin icicles for the Christmas tree! (the cat eats tinsel so we can't use it!)

Well, no.....not sick.....but we get a phenomenon in the litter box locally known as "Tinsel Turds" (tee hee)

They are becomming more popular, I have seen them in several mail order catalogs now. I think they were used in Victorian times. Messy "modern" tinsel was not an improvement on the old fashioned tin-sicles!

I got those things at The Gardener's Supply. www.gardeners.com As for the icicles, the top is bent into a hook and you just hang them on the branches. I may get another tin to hang on the draped boughs on the fireplace. They were very pretty and I like them so much better than messy tinsel. Mr. Frog is sitting in the pot where my mother fern lives, in the house near a bright window. He really has a lot of character, you can't see him very well in the photo though.

K .... Great Bingo Gifts! I get e-mails from Gardener's Supply, but haven't seen that scoop, I must get one ... it's the perfect size for all my potting and re-potting that I do. It looks very sturdy! Love "Froggie" too! I gotta start paying more attention to Gardener's Supply Catalog!
Good Going ..... Getting rid of that Christmas Tinsel! I had a cat many years ago (she lived to be 24) who ate tinsel .... I came home from work one day and she was in major distress ... I saw silver tinsel hanging out of the corner of her mouth and began pulling it out! It was a verrrrrry long piece of tinsel ... more than one strand hooked together! My Vet at the time said that stuff was deadly that it could get wrapped around their intestines and cause major problems! From that day on I NEVER used tinsel on the Christmas tree again! I refuse to allow it in my house and EVERY year since then when I see someone purchasing that stuff, I have to ask if they have pets, and I tell them the dangers of that stuff!
Did the twisted tin icicles come from GS too? I REALLYneed to pay more attention to their catalog!

Yep, everything from the one gift certificate! I just poked my nose through their site........huge sale. The scoop is down to $9.88 (from $18.95!). Lots more too......the frog is now $5.88 (from $14.95). I couldn't find the tin icicles though. But I bet if you called they may have some left. Check it out!
