Hi all, newbie here.
Based on the information in this forum I have been attempting to root brugmansia cuttings. Most have been successful, however my pink cuttings are turning yellow and drying up. Since I am new to brugmansias I decided to try rooting them in three different ways to determine which worked best for me. I have gleaned this forum for instruction. The pinks were in soil until a couple of days ago. Because of the yellowing I have moved them into water. They are continuing to yellow. My brugs rooting log style are doing fine. Does anyone have any ideas or maybe a "search term" that I could use to locate the information.Thank you in advance for all of your help. (edited because althought the cuttings were given to me under coral pink, I did a search and the picture is def not the same, sorry i am learning:)

Yellowing Brug Cuttings ( from a green brug gardener:)
Do you know what their names are ? Since there are several different varieties, a name would help our resident brug geniuses identify the problem . We have some awesome brug people here, unfortunately, I am not one of them. I am learning more every day. God bless, Margo
I am sorry but the friend that I got them from said that she had bought it as coral pink however we both looked at a picture of coral pink and they are not the same. So i guess they are more peachy than pink, live and learn. The cuttings have accelerated the yellow, they have a pretty good root system started, however as far as i can see there are not any "nodes?" above the yellowing. As the plant yellows it sort of drys up and shrinks. I think these are probably lost. Does anyone have any ideas? Please and thank you.
I find seaweed concentrate added to the ferts keeps things a bit greener ... perhaps a nitrogen boost... of somesort might help you... some 20-20-20 ..Are you not feeding them there in St.Louis in the winter as some reccomend... I'm an all year ...heavy feeder here ... where they spend so much time inside alive and growing without a real dormant time..
Gordon
Can you post a picture of them?
As far as them looking identical to the pictures of coral pink.. remember, bloom time, zone and camera all affect the color, so that is only one tool for identification.
I'm not a brug expert, just a second year newbie..
I have 3 cuttings from same brug [ for friends ] all 3 were taken after "Y" all 3 look different right now .
Some brugs don't have the same color flower till 2nd or 3th year . My Charles Grimaldi. is 12 years old and every flush is either a different color , smell , size or all 3 .
Food , water , temp , Dirt , kind of music [ I hate headphones so they listen to " my " choice - sometimes tapes other times the radio . ] time of year - spring , summer , fall and probably even your mood .
A pretty flower can change your mood and you can change the plant by your mood .
That statement will probably get a few responses .
Well in that case Tony I will be expecting black brug flowers! LOL
Oh ..Kell...
Black..indeed...could you reel it back a notch... off it being black.. and lets see some photos from your Blue Period... I'd like to see a real blue brug... perhaps something from the Wedgewood Group..of brugs... LOL Gordon
Am I the only one who has black flowers ? I also have dark brown flowers and leaves - most limp , but a few crispy .
The CDW I got from you [ Kell ] is a double brown right now . It's in the ground and surrounded by a bird of paradise , boxwood , a bay leaf tree [ 4 foot ] and a marigold [ daisy ] type bush .
