Just be careful about what sawdust you use. No black walnut and nothing but pure, raw wood. Anything from a wood shop is most likely going to have some finish or other chemicals you certainly don't want.
Or be contaminated with workers' munchies and metal shavings, etc. In fact, most shops just throw it out for that reason. The only really safe place to get it is straight from the mill. I finally found a place where I can get it, but it's fresh, and the article says you need to use aged. I think I will get a few bags to put away in wood tubs for a year, and a few bags to use as part of a soilless mix now.
