Yes, Thanks Joy!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Wow, this site is also offering Louisana iris plants, 'Black Gamecock' for $12.50 in a flat rate box and it includes shipping!

Sounds like they also grow their own plants and harvest their own seeds.

Joy, I just can't get enough of this site. Karen is a hoot! She had taken old tires, cut around the rim into the shape of a daisy, spray painted it and waala! a neat little flower container! Cute as can be. And what she says about not putting them in the front yard of an upscale neighborhood, well, I just had to laugh!

Thanks Joy !

Kalama, WA(Zone 8b)

You are welcome. :-)

Glad you are enjoying the site. I'd never heard of it either until a friend told me about it.

My father in-law used to make tire planters like the ones on this site.

I tried doing a search for legal-sized envelopes, but all I really came up with was UPS' Express envelopes, which said they were legal size... legal size being 12.5" x 9.5".
Can someone tell me is this correct? I got out a ruler and measured that, and it seems like it's awfully big for a regular envelope. Are legal envelopes one of the orange-colored ones?

LOL, I really need to pay more attention when I'm in Office Depot.
Thanks for passing this link along!

Hi Gina
Legal envelopes are what most businesses use and are long. Regular/Standard envelopes are smaller. Hope that helps :o)

Connie

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I used the long envelope that are just the standard white #10 business size envelope (4 1/8 X 9 1/2 in). I have both the short and long sizes. I'm sure if you have the long white #10 ones, they'll do just fine.

Cordel, where did you find that little heart shaped thingie at the end of your msg?

Hollywood, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks Connie & Deborah!

I was wondering if I could use the #10s that I have, so that definitely answers my question then ;)
Thanks,
~Gina

The link does work. They may be workign on the site or their server may be down. What ya have to do when the page comes up that says this site can't be found, go down a little bit and click on their other url. It will direct you to their site and store and such.

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I checked it tonight there is a message about problems they have been having.

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 4b)

I will try it tomorrow.

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 4b)

Joy, I finally got that link to work, and this is what was there.. It's long...

Quoting:
Due to an unexpected and unexplained incredible surge in free seed
requests, we have had to remove this offer until further notice.

I am terribly sorry to halt this offer prematurely, but we are currently
trying to find our way out of a terrible mess caused after very bad ice
storms hit our area. Trees on the garage, trees laying in the front yard,
it is an enormous amount of work. I can't even begin to explain the mess.

When I checked the mail Monday, there were 60 requests. Tuesday brought
47, Wednesday brought 38 and Thursday brought another 26. Normally I receive
2 or 3 in a blue moon.

I can not figure out why this is happening. Normally we
(and when I say 'we' I mean myself...) get one here and there,
so I leave the offer up all year long. Someone must have posted the information
on a popular site. As much as I would love to keep the offer
going, I simply cannot handle the additional workload in addition to the standard
orders, trying to keep up with everything and the added labor time of the mess from
the storm.

If you sent a SASE for this offer, please know I am working on them and they should
be in the mail in the next few days. I apologize, but I simply must put these further
down the priority list for a few days. (No place to park the car, there is a humongous
sixty year old Hackberry tree in the middle of the driveway.)

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding,
Karen Manasco

Lineville, IA

I sent the postage and the legal size envelop and guess what I got. One lousy package of about 10 morning glory seed.

Kalama, WA(Zone 8b)

Thanks for the information.
Wow! I feel kinda bad overwhelming them this way by posting this.

Rayleigh, They probably didn't send much because of the overwhelming responses they've received to this offer.

I'll close this post now sense the offer is over.

Joy

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Joy, you shouldn't feel bad at all. In the long run, your advertisement should help their business. I actually sent Karen a check with an order. Their problem with the "overwhelming" response to the free seed offer was the disaster mother nature threw at them at the time they received so many requests. I'm sure they aren't complaining about the orders and the web site hits, just appologizing for having to stop the free offer during their storm recovery.

JMO....Deborah♥
