Hi,
Do you have hummingbirds...so many that come migration time you have to be careful because you may get bombarded by live shooting torpedo's? aka hummingbirds? Do you have so many that they follow you through your gardens?
Have you ever had the hummingbird moth visit your gardens?
What about butterflies? Have you ever had so many that you have to shoo them away to work in your gardens?
I am offering 2 types of surprise boxes.
1- for a hummingbird garden
1- for a butterfly garden
Each kind of box will have aprox 15 nice divisions of plants suitable for its specific garden. The plants will be named, height and color also included.
Both butterflies and hummingbirds are such fun to watch! We have so many now that we even had to build special log houses for the catapillars(sp?) to do their thing in!
Plmk! I have several to offer of both!
These offers will come in April, flat rate shirt type boxes/ with confirmation.
I am looking for bulbs and other plants- i have many wants!
Thank you again,
Sandy
CLOSED: Have: Spring- hummingbird and butterfly garden surprise ...
I would love to get in on this. What would you be looking for in exchange? Right now everything I have in the ground is covered in ice, so I am not sure exactly what will be ok for spring. However, I have a couple daylilies I could take divisions of. Also am starting some seeds this week so I should have some seedlings by April. I like both box ideas, but I really would like more butterflies in my backyard. This year all I saw were gulf fritillaries. The hummers do fight over food, but I've got 2 feeders now and will probably get more this year.
Thanks, Kim
Hi Kim, the best thing to do is click on michigander and select threads/posts started and you should see some of the plants/bulbs I'm looking for.
I am not interested in shrubs, or grape hyacinths(unless the yellow variety)
Daylilies I have alot of, so please no thank you) Hosta i have many but would like red october and any of the all white ones. Turks cap lily all colors. camassia/quamash, pardancanda: dazzler series. phlomis, hellebores, heuchera's, pulmonarias , penstemons( i have huskers, navigator and red rock)
Fritillaria- need almost all, lupines, geraniums oxonignum sherwood, G x luscious linda or other interesting ones- even jolly bee, splish splash, purple pillow, TB iris- named,( we have an big iris show here in '09 and i would love to be able to invite the iris assoc to view my gardens!)
anchusa, corydalis any, emepidums(sP?), oh gosh, there are so many desires!
p.s. The first 4 responders I know will recieve a butterfly bush in their package!
Thank you Kim and i sent you a D-mail
Sandy

Beck
Hi Beck!
Thank you for responding! Can you believe this? I couldn't grow a houseplant if my life depended on it!-LOL I suppose its because I'm always outside working in the gardens!
I have two acres of gardens and 3 times a year use commerical round-up- using over 55 gallons of the spray at a time. swore i'd never cut grass again!
Stupid question given my background... but are EE's, Epimedium's?
If so I would love to have some of any colors you may have ! Please d-mail me and we can set this up!
Thank you again,
so nice to e-meet you!
