Bergkönigin- Is it in the USA from Canada yet?

Geneva, FL(Zone 9b)

I was wondering if anyone here has been able to get the Canadian hybrid called 'Bergkönigin'. This is a lovely DEEP pink double flower--very rich coloration from the pics I have seen, though I don't have one of my own to post here. Anyway, it seems to have found its way to Europe from Canada (all the European sources list it as Canadian, though the name is German for 'Mountain Queen'. If this is so, thent is very odd it hasn't come here first. Pease, send me a D-Mail if you know where it can be found. Also, if anyone knows the whereabouts here for 'Super Spot' ..(Kirchner-Abel)............... I am SURE we can work something out. :)

I saw it listed as being by Dorethea Langenberg from Germany.

Yes, 'Bergkönigin' is here and around. I didn't realize it was from Canada.

The Answer is very simple and not odd at all: They are legal Imports and the Canadian Agriculture does not require after the initial inspection when the Plant material is found to be healthy without Diseases or Viruses at Customs , to be in Quarantine for two Years as the US Agriculture requires for BRUGMANSIAS, once plantmaterial is released to the importer in Canada that is it and the Importer will not be checked on these Imports again.

Who is a USA seller of Bergkönigin, and/or, Super Spot? If the lady mentioned is in Germany, that is something I don't wish to deal with unless all other "local" resources are exhausted. Why go through a two year, imported brug, USDA inspection period if you can buy it here to begin with? have also noticed the Canadian sellers I have found on the internet don't ship to the USA. Do brugs from Canada have to go through the same process as those from elsewhere outside the USA? Thanks!

It was always in Germany. 'Bergkönigin' was released in 2003 out of Langenbuscher Kübelgarten, Remscheid in Germany. It is a Dorothea Langenberg hybrid. I am glad, that is has reached Canada, because it have such beautiful flowers. Also it grow and bloom well. Here is an early photo of my specimen.

Wowzers! That is incredible Tonny!

I just purchased these 2 batches of seeds on EBay: Double Dark Rosetta x BERGKÖNIGIN and ANGELS FLIGHT x BERGKONIGIN. Is this the same plant ? If it is, then you can find these fairly often but they can get rather expensive. This order has not arrived yet, but a previous order arrived rather quickly and in good condition. You might try contacting this Seller "dergaertner_1" on EBay for any other information.
Good luck and God bless, Margo

Thanks. Yes, it is really an intense and deep rose and a nice shape. Here is a link to Dorotheas website. It is not, that I want to make an advertisement of the site. I am just thrilled to see, that the flowers is shown in different light and seasons.
