oh poor babies. Hope you are putting out some peanutbutter suet, berries or meal worms for them to feed on. you can buy frozen blueberries at the grocery. You can make suet very easy or our Lowes sell little Peanutbutter suet balls for them

Poor guys, they do come back early enough to see snow here - so they must be able to handle some.

I so want Bluebirds to visit my yard. Oh well, at least, I get to see them here. Thanks.

Your pic is so cute!

But, Yes, do put out some suet for them (and maybe a roosting box?). So cold for them and they are so cute! Wish we had them here!

BB Suet recipes are easy to make. Some recipe suggestions for starters: http://www.sialis.org/suet.htm

And an easy one with just a few ingrediants:

4 cups yellow cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup lard, melted suet, or grease
1 tsp. corn oil
Sunflower hearts, peanut hearts, chopped soaked raisins.
Melt lard and stir in sunflower and peanut hearts and raisins. Mix in corn oil, cornmeal and flour. Let this set up, and then cut into chunks. NOTE: If it comes out sandy, pour more melted lard over it so it will crumble or you can shape it into balls.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I have never seen these in real life. They are so beautiful and I would love to have them in my yard.

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous! That image could be your holiday card next year, Tharlan. :)
