The Temp. was 33 degrees at dawn. I put out seeds and the camera as soon as it was slightly light. Some of the birds came while it was still basically dark.
The feeder has been very busy all day, mostly Cardinals. A few Jays came early, as well as Yellow Rumps. The last to feed were the Incas.
1 of 10. Jay checking it out.
Cold day, for here.
Nice pics trois! I love that first Cardinal one and I'm always partial to the warbler but there all very nice! Thanks for posting them!
Thank you, and you are welcome!
There are so many birds out there it looks like a swarm. Lots of fights.
Nice pics!
I'd call 33° at dawn blistering hot tropical heat, though!
Resin
Thanks, Resin. We rarely get below 40. It is very cold for us. I still have a few Oranges on the trees.
Trois,
Great photos! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Marilyn.
beautiful shots. Temps going to be the same for us tomorrow. Was, cold 45, damp, windy, and drizzly today. Had lots and lots of birds at the feeders all day
Thanks. This cold just will not go away.
Trois, I missed this one yesterday - the detail on the Jay is incredible! All the photos are, of course, excellent. Those little Warblers are heart stealers! And I hope to heck I get to see a Cardinal in person before I die (I've got about 40 years to go, I think . . . I'll be 102 then!). The "Flashing Dove" is quite the shot!
Thanks, Murmur. We certainly have plenty of Cardinals here, all year as several nest in our yard. In winter, many more.
Resin, I think the difference is celsius vs. ferinheight. Trust us, it is cold anywhere in Texas this week. LOL!!
Oh, and great pictures of the Yellow Rump Trois, I haven't seen one of those myself. Cute little dickens.
