One of 18. We have a large number of new Cardinals show up today, just ahead of the freezing weather. The temp has been 36 up to 38, now 36 again, expected to drop to 32 by morning. I have refilled the feeder several times. The camera got damp, the battery doesn't last long, but the feeder action has been furious all day. Tomorrow will be better yet, I think.
Cold, rainy day Cardinals.
OK,
Guess - who is the DG King of Cardinals.....?
Great Cardinal photos Trois!!!
What's seeds do you put into your feeder? Looks yummy for the birds.
Marilyn
LOL Dwdruley!
Wild bird mix with extra Black Oil Sunflower seeds.
Thanks, everyone. I must have had several hundred birds at the feeder today. All wet.
The white specks on the Cardinals is water droplets. Misting rain all day.
Beautiful pics, trois! Tell us again what camera you are using these days!

Cardinals will always be one of my favorite song birds. Thanks so much for sharing. The photos are spectacular.
Kim
My favorite bird!! Thank you for sharing those beautiful photos!!!!!
Thanks Kim and Pixie!
Lovely photos. By the way, the "feed me" winging is common to all birds and is a basic begging body signal. I have a parrot and he uses it for "pick me up", "feed me", and " I want to go outside". For those not familiar, the bird will lower its upper body, drop its "shoulders" into a square shape, and shake the wings/shoulders up and down. The squaring of the body with the upper wings out may also be accompanied by head bobbing.

Trois, sensational!!!!!! How does the remote control work? I had a spot on my camera that say "remote" so I presume I could do that. Is it pricey?
Laura, I had no idea - thanks for that info!
I bought the camera for the purpose of using a remote, as I have no windows suitable to view through. After I had the camera, I found that the company did not make the remote control.
I had to collect information as to what was needed, then build my own. I went ahead and built a Radio Controlled unit so I wouldn't need to string wire. It works out to about 200 feet, which is further than I would normally use it. I watch the feeder on a security camera so I can tell when birds are on the feeder.
Not counting the time, the remote control cost about 20-25 dollars.
beautiful pics
Super pics Trois!
Marilyn
Enought of this...you're making me jealous. I don't have any of those birds !

Good through the window pic, Deb.
Better, I don't have these glorious birds either - doggone it anyway!!
Deb, that is a fantastic picture - when I clicked on it, I was delighted to see so much detail.
Deb,
