I've heard that Rion is coming out with an eight foot tall model in Feburary 2007. It's suppose to also have an improved door setup. Can anyone confirm this? I have been shopping around for their GH46 model 8 x 12 ft. in white.

New Model Rion Greenhouse?
For those who live in zone 9, there don't seem to be many people wanting greenhouses...........I do and want to know about how to place it.
Hi Betty, I'm in zone 9 and have a greenhouse and I know I've seen other people post here who have GH's in zone 9 or even 10! I can't help much on where to place it--I only had once choice of where to put in my yard so that's where it is. But since you're asking a new question, you might want to start a new thread, that way Dirtpoor can get answers here about the new Rion and you can get answers on your thread about where to place your greenhouse--it's less confusing that way!
I just popped in here to see if anyone had anything to say about the new models!
If you search, they are out there now. I've just seen the Prestige model and Green Giant. They boast 8' ceilings, 6mm roof panels and lots of new standard features like gutters, downspouts, solar powered lights, staging tables, side louvers with auto openers and the roof vent windows with auto openers. It does indeed say the door design has been improved. WOW! Apparently the Prestige is the same as the Green Giant with different, more clear side panels.
You can read about them here. Scroll down about 1/2 way. http://www.advancegreenhouses.com/rion_greenhouses.htm
One site also said Rion prices will be going up 15%.
I'm sitting here with a brand new, in the box 8x12 original model, trying to decide if I want to put it up or not. LOL
Badseed,
Let me know if you decide to, and need that base. I've still got it. I haven't had a chance to weigh it yet, but if I know you need it, I'll move it up on the priority list. =)
