Have you tried asking in the tomato forum?

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I googled them and there's tons of research info on them but I couldn't locate a seed source either. If you ask in the Tomato forum try to get in touch with Carolyn--she might have some insight on this one=) Hope that helps!

Thanks for the tips.

I asked Jim if he had grown the Atkinson since he was searching for the seed. He has and this is what he said about it; I thought I would pass this along --- "The Atkinson tomato is a medium sized fruit with excellent old time taste. Other than Brandywines and Caspian Pinks they, along with Homestead, are the best tasting tomatoes. They are indeterminate and grew out of attempts to improve the Rutgers tomato."
