Sylvian,

I'm open to about anything, since I'm planting a new garden this year. I've been looking for lilies and grasses lately, but not limited to that. Let me know what you might have available.

Thank you Steve, my box arrived today yea!!!!!!!!!!!!

GG,

Yes, full sun. They can get to 12 feet - mine grew to around 9 the first year (last year).

Check out the size of the rhizomes; they're almsot comical, they're so big. I'll bet they get bigger each season.

Do you have a pic of your canna? Maybe we can ID them. These plants are dormant right now, but I do have other cannas flowering.

Rose Lodge, OR(Zone 8b)

Steve, I have a few tropical & hardy ferns, rooted jade or aloe cuttings & one small 'Cherry Chocolate' rhizome.
Oh, and seeds of just about anything you'd want. (I bought 600 packets this year, half veggies, half flowers)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Steve do you dig up your rhizomes each year ? They sure are Special and large ! I'm so excited about mine Thank you !

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

Allison,

No,not usually.I had too many cannas in one place, and I wanted to move them.

If you leave the rhizomes in the ground over the winter, they'll come back the following spring.

Summerkid,

Sorry, just noticed your posting.

What is the Cherry Chocolate rhizome? I'm not familiar with it.

I've been considering ordering flower seeds. What kind do you have? Are they mostly annuals?

I got these bulbs back in oct, planting them for the spring.
Didn't know the weather would be so crazy this winter and didn't expect them
to sprout and grow. Some have some haven't. here's one closest to the house
That has grown and flowered,

GG,

My Russian Red are dormant - some cannas flower during the winer here, some go dormant. That could be why yours isn't doing so well - I bet it takes right off when things warm up a bit.

Can you tell what type this canna is.
I need to find out.
Thanks

GG,

It's really hard to tell, without seeing it flower, and when it's distressed like it is. You might want to post it in either the Canna forum, or the Identification forum, but I suspect you won't have much luck until it grows more. Sorry.

This site has hundreds, with pictures - you might find it here:
