Tall Impatiens Seeds and .....?

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

I'm looking for seeds of Impatiens (walleriana) that grow tall...at least a foot. Most that are available in the stores are shorter types maybe 8-10". Bi-tones (mosiac) would be nice but anything will do as long as its not the super elfin type. Also looking for Amaranthus Dreadlocks from the Park Seed catalog. I have a lot to trade, but no formal list.

DG email me if you would like to work out a trade.

Thanks!

Hi Sandy, I don't have I. wallieriana, but I do have I. balfourii which where I live get's to be 1-2 ft. tall.and has little purple like orchid like flowers. I also have seeds for Impatiens gladulifera candida which got to about 4 ft. for me and the Impntiens gladulifera 'Wine Red' that grew to 3 ft. Let me know if you would like any of these.

Sandy, my impatiens dwarf my hostas in the summer. I have a mix of colors - mostly pinks.

Boy, how interesting on the impatiens growing wild! Just can't imagine that in the NW!

Daisy, these would probably grow in your neck of the woods. My sister, Michele, has had hers come back (reseed) in MN and she is in zone 4a, but it was a mild winter. They like cool weather and they sprout here when the temps drop below 50*. These are the original imps that all the hybrids came from. On Oauhu, at the University of Hawaii Botanical Gardens, up around 450m they grow wild in the forest, but, not in the low lands of Honolulu.

Like these hybrids....
