I had a friend ask me what the clay pellets are called that you add to pots and they expand. Anyone here know the name?
Thanks, Kim
quick question on soil additive
Clay pellets don't expand (appreciably or noticeably). Probably you refer to the water retaining polymers or starch products like "Soil Moist"?
Al
Or there are peat pellets that come as a flat disk and you wet them and they expand to fill a pot and you can then plant things in it. I've always heard them called peat pellets although I think there are some now that are made with things other than peat, but work on the same principle.
