Assuming this is a Red Tailed Hawk but I'll let the hawk people decide. He was a big boy.

Another one. Weather was weird today, off and on dark clouds with some high winds and even Snow flurries!

Lovely photos, Pelle! I'll send a few titmice your way if you send the juncos here. :)
I love them but they are a pretty rare sight round here.

Its a DEAL Deb!!!

(Zone 10b)

Great photos. The changes in weather all in one day must have the birds confused.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

awesome pics Pell. I haven't seen the first HF here in the country.

I would be more than happy to send you some Donna. I have way too many here. They can really be aggresive towards the other smaller birds when it comes to feeding.

Blythe, CA(Zone 10b)

I'm glad Resin stopped in to id your hawk. I have trouble id'ing birds. Good pictures.

Marlton, NJ

It was very dark out and he was too far away for me to be able to see his red tail.

Resin, Are the RT Hawks the only large ones in my area? They've been the only ones I've seen so far.

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Pelletory, those are marvelous photos - I really love the one of the chickadee and the junco together.
