White Throated Sparrows

I love the White Throated Sparrows that come down for the Fall/ Winter months! Sweet and beautiful birds! Here's a pic I got the other day.

Love their song. DH came in the other day saying their song kind of sounds like "here comes the bride". I got a good chuckle out of it

I love the way they kick their little feet at the ground trying to stir things up. Not always the easiest to photograph as their movements are so quick but their just adorable.

Getting something to eat in the afternoon

There's a White Throated Sparrow in the middle of the pic on a 'horizontal - diagonal branch'. On the far left side of the photo are 2 White Throated Sparrows.

I took these pics the other afternoon from a distance (birds kept flying away the closer I got) and this is as much of a closeup I could get.

Getting lunch

Two White Throated Sparrows on January 8, 07 at 1:11 pm.

What a lovely little bird! We don't get them here, but do get the White Crowned Sparrow which is related to the White Throated - strange that we wouldn't get both. Do you get the White Crowned variety?
