Amsonia in the PNW

I'm just wondering if any of you have had experience with Amsonia in this area. My limited experience is that they don't grow as well as the east without the summer heat and humidity. Any thoughts? Which species have you tried? Thanks :-)

I believe I have two kinds of amsonia growin, Growin. LOL. They were obtained in a trade from TN I think, and will have to wait til late tomorrow, possibly Thursday, before I can scout for tags. They were mere sprouts when I got them, so have slowly grown over 2 years. I'll check them as stated and get back to you once my memory is jarred as to how they did. Might even have a photo to offer.
