I am depends on what you order. I am right on I-20 on your way to Miss. I have never ordered cannas. Cindy

have you looked at either brian's or karchesky's canna sites? i want some of the whites and the zodiac series. i could easily spend several hundred dollars with karchesky. i am willing to work with someone who will work with me. for instance if you want one that i don't necessarily want i would go in with you in you will go in with me.....for instance i want sagitarrius, virgo and aquarius. you might want others of the zodiac series and i would help you if you would help me. if you will go to karchesky and see what you like. tell me how much you are willing to spend. i can get the canna shipped to me or we can ship them to you. as a matter of fact it would be easier for me if we ship them to you. i will be going to miss. around the middle of june. prob. on the way home i would stop in monroe to divide the booty and then can easily bring my share back to fate. if you prefer that they ship to me i am going to leave the canna together that karchesky ships and bring the whole plant that they send to me so you can see in person that i am honest since you don't know me from adam's house cat. now i did do this same thing with bulbs with JanetS on daves. for your piece of mind please contact her so that you will know that i am honest. i have to go and get my kids at school right now so will write more later. lmk what you think. also lmk which canna you like. barb

I know you are honest I've been watching you post. Listen June would be great. May be I could entice you to our La roundup here in West Monroe on June 9th. Actually you could have a mini co-op with those that are coming and have them shipped to me for pick-up only. I will look at those sites to see the different cannas. Oh this is exciting. I've been wanting to me you Barb because we seem to like the same things. And you could bring me a piece of that crossvine I never did find around here. Dmj128 from Houston is coming

http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/681287/ check out this forum about the LARU I think you would really like these ladies. We would love to have you join us not only at the Ru but on midsouth gardening forum. I know you post on the Texas, so do I. Our climates are very much alike. Cindy

kuh-ool. a co-op, huh? that would be great. why don't you look at the sites and talk it up with your other folks and see what everybody wants. i don't know but karchesky might cut us a deal if we have a large order. i know i will certainly ask. and if they won't, brian might. you find brian by looking up brian's botanicals. i forget the karchesky canna person's name but she and brian both post a lot on daves. are any of the other people over there in monroe also members of daves? so tell everyone you know. get me a list of what everyone wants and i will contact karchesky and/or brian and see if they will cut me a deal for a large purchase. you can either paypal money to karchesky direct after i send them the order or we can all send you the money and you can send payment by check or money order. i think it would be better to send money to you because all of these folks know you.

and i just might get to your round-up. i just might. if it would be o.k. could i leave my plants at your house until i do the return trip and i could just drop by again on my way home? i have a van but it's not big enough for me and my 2 kids and all our junk. lol. i need a 18 wheeler honestly. my kids get out of school on june 1 so i could easily make it there. the only problem i foresee is that it is not the weekend that my money falls. but unless some other dire thing comes up i ought to be able to swing gas money and i always stay at relatives in miss.

were you in connie's seed swap? or did you do that bulb co-op with 4paws? i know i have seen the name "riverland" some where.

i would be happy to bring you a crossvine. as a matter of fact i was already going to ask you if you had other plants to swap when i came thru. i like to always get the most out of my little adventures. lol. i remind myself of my daddy when he was alive. he would come to texas to see us but always he would find something to buy when he was here so he could sell it when he got home.

so lmk when you know what we will do about the canna.

I'm sorry I've got too much on my plate with the roundup. I am in Nitas co=op as you are too. I am just going to buy a few cannas through it and be done. I'm going to be really busy when all my co-ops start coming in in the middle of trying to make the roundup happen.

i understand. you know i was thinking that one of these days how about you and your lady friends and i and any others who could come to w. monroe do a salvia co-op? do you think you could find enough interested participants?

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

i don't know as I don't grow salvia yet.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

oooooooooooooooooooooh. you will.

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

Is it good in low water situations as that is what I am needing now?

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

yes. salvia farinacea blooms all summer here in the heat and drought. salvia uliginosa. black and blue and all of the other guaranitica's, pratensis, s. microphylla hot lips. leucophylla. greggii which comes in red, purple, a dark purple, coral, white, watermelon, pink, and there is navajo red s. greggii and navajo pink and both look like bicolors in the hot sun. i have some others that were put in the ground late fall so i will have to see if they come back and how well they do thru this summer. also eupatorium greggii if you don't have it as that plant does well in the drought and butterflies love it and i love it and it will get out of hand in a wet bed but it is one that i don't mind cause they are just covered with butterflies.
