i just stripped the leaves from this one as they were starting to develope rust and it's about time to take a rest anyway. we are supposed to go down to 36 tomorrow night, just for a short while. i had planned on covering this guy if it got really cold, but with this pod sticking up, it's going to make it a bit tougher to do. this is the first seedpod i've ever had.
a seedpod
Wow that's great!!
clare, i wish i knew. i posted this thread here earlier this summer. i read the very helpful sticky at the top, so i am leaving it and praying we don't get a freeze this year. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/639202/
jeri, i think it's pretty cool too! lol
Ah, it's a gorgeous pink whatever it is. It's probably a pink seedling hybrid as Florida has lots of pretty ones there. If you do hear a freeze warning, you could just throw a sheet over it or put socks on the limbs or drape Christmas lights around it. Fingers crossed for you;-)
i thought of the socks idea and bought six pair already! LOL
