About my neighbor's daughter. She took care of my greenhouse, my indoor plants, and my kitties for the 2 1/2 weeks I was away in Ohio visiting family for Christmas. And she did a wonderful job!!! I only had a couple things in the greenhouse go dry, and these had needed a repotting so that was why. As for the indoor hoyas, only a couple were dry but all but one perked right back up with a good drink. And one of the hoyas is blooming! I am so impressed, she is only in junior high and is very mature for her age. She saved me from hiring a petsitter which would've cost me over $250. And now I can feel better about leaving my plants and pets while I am away. I got her a nice giftcard for her efforts. After my many bad experiences going away and leaving my plants behind, I just had to brag about how well this one went.

Kim, Wow! What a wonderful young lady you have for a neighbor! To be in Jr. High and so dependable! I don't have a greehnouse, but I have tons of plants and we have 4 cats and it's really hard to get someone to take care of the cats and plants when we are away! That young lady could have a nice little business there!

congrats on being so lucky!!!! All of these plants and the cost of having to board 4 animals is the exact reason why I cant go on vacations!! Maybe someday!!

LOL, Joanne, the truth of the matter is, I was going to make surprise visits to you and Ann's house on the way up !! Ah shucks, you've spoiled the surprise.. What exactly does "take care of your plants" mean in this situation?!! I could take Awanda with me, but now, not only does she have that "Killer" Boxer next door, but a real live Ninja Turtle guarding the pathway to her GH... You two would have to be very careful...
