Thanks Allison....I am trying to post more pics, but when I preview them and then hit send, they never show up. I have some good shots of EverSpecial and EveryJoy if I can ever get them to show up on this site. Guess I'll send another note to "Contact Us" and see if I can get this cleared up.

The camera I used was a Cannon Rebel. I really like the pics it takes.

Hopefully I'll have more to show as the weeks go by. I am trying to document all the ones I have and make copies of them for a special african violet photo album. I am continually working on my kids and grandkids to get them interested in all kinds of plants.

Wow Deb!! Beautiful AVs and great Close-ups!! Which Rebel are you using? Are the colors pretty accurate on the blues and purples? I've been tring to get a shot of my Ma's Melody Girl for a couple days and just can't get a good close-up even using macro.

Very nice pics....where can one find Russian Snow Leopard?
Laura

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

Well....Allison gave me mine. I have a couple of leaves that I just recently put down that hopefully will produce babies. If you remind me in a few months when the babies arrive I most likely can send you a plant.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Hopefully I'll have something (AV) that you'd like and I could trade.
Thanks again.

Here is it's Russian name !
EK-Snezhnyi Bars (9581) 01/17/2006 (E. Korshunova) Single-semidouble white large frilled star/lilac eye, violet edge. Medium green, pointed. Standard
I grew several from one leaf I bought from Bluebrids back when they sold one Russian leaf for like $4.75. I had ordered a different Russian with green in flower but they were out. So instead of a refund I asked for any Russian leaf. I'm glad I got this one ! I questioned it as the leaf was the size of a minature but was told leaves were small. Well I know better than that now.
I sold mt large plant last summer was a good 20 inches across still a baby for $25.00 . I am being Blessed with a Bloom Stalk baby of her on Friday from the girl that bought her from me :)) Yeah heh that's tomorrow. I grew about 12 Russians from leaf. Still have babies coming up of Ian Selena leaf I took off of Mom before sold.
But EK-Snezhnyi Bars " Snow Leopard " was my favorite !
Hope you get lots of babies to share Deb and loads of beautiful blooms from your Mom plant ! Is it pretty large ?
Allison

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

No Allison my Snow Leopard is not very large...it's in a 2 1/2 inch pot.

Deb

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

It's a standard but mine grew so large so fast and the new Mom has had it sense July I think ? says its still growing !
So I wondered if it should be a Large rather than standard. But the Hybridizer's in Russian live in small apartments with not much growing space and tend to grow their plants smaller. Very interesting.
