Thanksgiving Cactus, Holiday Cactus, Crab Cactus (Schlumbergera truncata)
once you get the seed pod how long before you can take it off the plant or does it come off by its self? and what do you do to plant the seeds
i'm not sure... the pod is still on there...now its hot pink
after christmas blooms all went away after christmas it started as a flower then became like a rubbery pod. all the years i have had christmas cactus i have never seen this before so i wasnt sure what it was till i seen your picture. so now i dont khow what to do.it has been on my plant since around januaryand is not changing do drying out or nothing it stays the same. so any information that you can give me will be apreciated
i wish i had info to give. im just as slueless as you are. mine was outside, and it is not on the plant anymore. idk whether it fell off or if something took it off, but there is no trace of it anywhere. sry i couldnt help. maybe you could post that in the cacti and succulents forum.
