oH my Goodness! I saw some of the cutest Frizzles the other night at Market! I wanted to get them soooo bad ! I just dont have enough room right now .....but .... Hmmm wheres my Hammer and nails and Chicken wire!!!!

somewhere, PA

Yep - shes a bantum. I wasn't sure when I got her but she's definitely a little tyke.
And she's as skiddish as the rest of the bantys. Why is it that they are always so
afraid of people? The full sized hens seem so much friendlier. (But she's just
as cute as they get!)

Oh, I'm so jealous.. I want red frizzle cochins so badly.. They seem to be so hard to find though.. I want them in standard though.. Maybe that's my problem.. = )

I love my little black cochin firzzle lady! They are so funny! Her bum looks like a little bear!

Oh... do you have any pictures? I never heard of them before I bought mine last spring.

Hey Tammy! Ive found some breeders never handle their chicks or remove them from their tiny little cages til they sell them! these poor unfortunate babies are so timid around humans! Just give your sweet little baby a lot of attention and love! Only feed her by hand for a long while so she will know that you are loving her and providing for her! She will come to trust you and respond better! Slowly introduce her to any Chickens she is afraid of! She will need a little time but she will respond! She is young enough to learn that you are her Mommy!

Well - too late for Dust Mop. She's about 9mo old now. I did try to handle
her as a chick but I just don't have the time.

The big chickens are just more trusting than the bantums by nature. You can
see from the way the kids are handling little Dust Mop that she's not totally
wild. But she's a lot more skiddish that the big guys are.

Here's a picture of my frizzle, Yuliana

She's a standard size. She's such a homebody. She and her best buddy, a silkie named Ursula, like to hang out in the coop or right in the yard. They never go far :) I love frizzles!

I was worried about her, but so far she seems to be coping fine in this ( albeit mild) NH winter so far. She just cuddles right up with my three silkie gals!

somewhere, PA

She's magnificent! I hope you can get a picture of her with her pals! I love
silkies too. Did you see the PBS show on chickens from a few years ago?
The last segment was about a very couragious silky saving her chicks. I had
a bantum silky just like the one in that segment but lost her to a fox.

Oh how cute!! She looks just like my Frizzle, Henny Penny...
Henny Penny runs around the yard squawking all the time. ...I'm sure she yelling, "The sky is falling!" ~ ; >
