I have both rooted plants and some cuttings/prunings of climbing hydrangea.
I dug up the big plant today to move it to another home. Need the space for more dahlias, LOL
I have 4 rooted plants and however many cuttings/prunings there are on the branches.
The picture attached is of the cuttings/prunings branches. The big branch, unfortunately, broke when I hung onto it when I dug it up, which was a no-no.
I will post a couple pics of the rooted plants next.
Tempt me with some perennials, dahlias, etc.
Carol
Edited to say it is a 3 year old plant for me and it bloomed last year.

Climbing hydrangea for trade
i would like one of the rooted plants. i have some bulbs......crinum and watsonia and also have a crossvine. thanks. barb
Barb, what kind of bulbs do you have?
Carol
I would like to have a rooted plant if you still have any left I have some rooted Brugmansia to trade if you are interested.
Ruth
Ruth, Do you have anything else? I don't do brugs. anymore.
Carol
daisyruffles, i have watsonia........snow queen. or lycoris radiata. also, have unknown crinum that i dug from a rent house.
mamajack, what color are your crinums? I might be interested in those.
The other plant you mentioned, watsonia isn't hardy here. I am not too fond of spider lilies.
Not to be a picky person but...........
Carol
Carol,
How about persicaria Red Dragon?
Donna
Carol that is all I have at the present time.
Ruth
I would love a start of the climbing hydrangea, Carol. Please visit my journals and diary and see if there is anything you'd like. I only have a couple of dahlias, but they are nice ones. I have a purple that came marked 'Unwin' but I also have an orange 'Unwin' and I HAD a yellow 'Unwin' but I can't remember seeing it this past year. I leave them in-ground in winter here and I know that is "iffy". I also have a large one that is a cactus dahlia that was labeled 'Star' and it is a pastel cream/pink/orangey multicolored looking thing... let me see if I can find a pic (or there may be one in my journal or diary)...
OK this pic is a little more bright orangey colored than I remember... of the cactus... it gets too tall for where I have it, at about 3ft+

i don't have a clue what color the crinum are. i just dug them from my friend's rent house. guessing i would say they are either white or the white with pink that is so common here.
Daisyruffles, would you have any more to share?
plmk,
Thank you,
Sandy
sorry about that!

Who are you talking to, Sandy?
I am sorry guys. I totally forgot to check on this. I will respond back to all of you tonight. Sorry.
Carol
Ok guys, finally am back here. Had my son visit from college this weekend so...........was busy doing laundry and cooking, LOL
Barb, thanks for looking but guess I am not too intersested in what you offer right now. Maybe we can trade later.
Yardbird, guess we can catch up with each other later if you have something I would be interested in rather than brugs. Thanks.
Gardengail, I would be interested in your hybrid tea rose, Aloha, if you still have a plant of that. I love fragrance roses and only have a couple now. Let me know.
Sandy, I would be glad to trade you a climbing hydr. with you. How can I figure out what you have to trade? I like fragrant perennials. Do you have any penstemons? Salvias? Let me know. (Did we trade before? My mind is lost).
Carol
Gail, yes, I saw that it was a climber. What turned me on was the constant blooming and it is fragrant. I was going to say I wanted the PeeGee hydrangea but decided to do this rose.
So fine. My address is in the exchange too. Any time is fine with me. Tho how about I box it up next Sunday. I like to mail things out on Monday.
So.......
One down, 3 more to go plus many cuttings still left......................
Hey that'll work for me. We're remaining pretty mild here so I shouldn't have a problem digging or planting.
This is going to be a two-cane plant with canes about the size of your ring finger. I will leave them as long as I can and mail in one of those long triangular boxes. I usually do not send bare root, but will "plant" in a ziploc with moist potting soil......if you are good with rooting cuttings, you could cut the canes back a little and root yourself a few more! Will send out next Monday....
Gail
Ok, fine, Gail. But if you want to wait for awhile, that is fine too. No big deal for me. The rooted climbing hydr. are heeled in some nice soil and seem happy so........Just let me know then.
Thanks.
Carol
Hey, Carol,
I wouldn't mind waiting until late Feb or early March if you don't. I don't think digging and dividing will be a problem, but putting the other one back in the ground might be asking for trouble if the weather turns here.... I'm going to put it in my trade tracker so I won't forget!! As long as that's ok with you....
Gail
That is fine with me. So yes, you remind me later then. Thanks. Carol
Carol, can I tempt you with some dahlia tubers?
Ferncliff Illusion
Deerwood Christy
Hy Pimento
Banana Rama
Patti Pink
I would like a couple cuttings and the trade would have to wait until April.
Sure, Marsha. I will look up those dahlias tonight. I have lots of cuttings and I may have another rooted plant just for you too.
As for the ROOTED PLANTS, ALL ARE GONE!
BUT
Have plenty of CUTTINGS to go. So DG people, just let me know about these cuttings!!!
Carol
Marsha, How about 'Deerwood Christy' and 'Hy Pimento'? Do you want a rooted one too along with the cuttings? Please let me know. Would like to box up all these tomorrow, Sunday to ship out on Monday.
Thanks, Carol
