Bought a new Feeder

Marlton, NJ

With the rest of my Christmas money I bought this cottage style feeder. The good thing about it is that the bottom is screen so all the rain water goes through. The screen is removable for cleaning.
First ones up on it were the House Finch, their always the bravest.

Yes the only the other one to try it was the Grackle. I know it takes time for most of them to get used to a new feeder.

Thanks, its very plain but its the first of that type I've had with the screened bottom.

That screen is definately a pluse to keep the seeds from molding or clogging the openings. Did you get it from a chain store, Wild Birds, HD, etc.?

Hi Sheila, No I bought it from a very good independent store that carries all the major brands. They've been great in giving me so much good information. I would have liked to have gotten a different material than this but didn't have enough money.

I need to look for one like it here. With the roof and the screen, it would work great. Good find.
