Native Habitat Double Peach

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is one of my favorite brugs. I just love how even one of the very large flowers can fill an entire patio with is fragrance in the evening. This is the first bloom of the season for her but she has a bunch of buds to back up this blossom. It's a shame that nobody really knows the parentage of this one. She crosses out quite easily and has always provided an abundance of nice fluffy pollen.

Such a pretty picture! I can just imagine the fragrance... I love that so much. This is such a foggy morning, thank you for sharing such a beautiful bloom.

Mornin' Gary. Very pretty. I'm becoming more fond of doubles and triples whose skirts aren't all a-tangle with flounces and meandering tendrils. These doubles with their gentle waves somehow appear more elegant. I am very happy to know it sets seed easily. I've been looking for a good photo of this one, and yours is just perfect. Thank you!

I have been trying to grow this one for four years and still have never got to see once bloom in person.

Yet another purdy bloosom. Everything is leafless, brown, wet & cold here, so nice to see some "life" out there. Thank-x for sharing! Bj

Me too Patricia, I got rid of 2 big trees last summer. I had had enough of it not blooming. I was thinking it was too cool here but you get heat where you are.

Yours looks so pretty, Gary!

She isn't what i would call a heavy bloomer. I get several flushes each winter of 6 or 7 flowers at a time. For me, the flowers are worth waiting for. Hopefully I can cross to the right brugmansia to enhance it's flowering potential while retaining it's form and fragrance.

Beautiful Gary. I never got to see her bloom either before losing her. Had it 2 years.

I got this one last fall (NHDP) and she has really bloomed a lot this fall. I didnt do anything special to her. She took pollen well and has lots of huge pods on her.

You have the brug touch, Delisa. Her pods look like Creamsickle's. I wonder if they were pod mates.

I'll be danged!! Mine doesn't like me touching her stamen!!

Kell I always said that she looks exactly like Creamsickle with a deep peach color. In fact the blooms are larger than those on my creamsickle.

I believe they were made from the same place. Has anyone asked Native Habitat who the parents are?

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Yeah!!!! I have two pods now on Double Peach!! I crossed it with Painted Lady and Rubirosa!!

Way to go Gary!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Lots of envey here, so great to see blooms in winter when we have 4" of new snow, and such a lovely bloom at that.

Hey Gary!!

...now all we need is about an acre of land somewhere with a nice heated/cooled greenhouse smack in the middle of it...surrounded by jungle...and semi-wild animals...and a daily catering service...and a labooratory...and...

:-)

I'm there!!
