Help, Do I pinch back seedlings?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I have several hardy hibicus that I started inside. I have already transplanted into their pots. They are about ten inches tall now. Should I pinch back? If so, please give me some pointers.

Hi Deb, I don't know that much about hardies, as I have mostly tropical hibiscus.
But I do have a few, so here goes:
I wouldnt bother pinching them because they will most likely die back to the
top of the soil, thats what they normally do at this time of year. I also started some
a little late this year and they are just now starting to die back even in a warm greenhouse.
They probably are reacting to the reduced photoperiod of winter signaling dormancy.
If yours continue growing thruout the winter into spring, then you may want to pinch them
back to promote branching if needed. Maybe someone else with more experience
growing these will chime in and give some better advise.
Good Luck!

Thanks, Dave. I forget that plants react to the seasons no matter what we want them to do. I'll just leave them as they are and see how much they grow from this point on.

If you have them inside, you could always try some
supplimental lighting, it may keep them growing until springtime.
