CLOSED: Wanted: Heliconia's
GG,
I have some Distans (live plants). I have rhizomes of others that went dormant.
What are you looking to trade?
Steve
I'm looking for Heliconia's other than the ones I have.
Prefer something that grows taller than 12 -18 inches.
For something I have.
or perhaps some EE's, seeds,aloe,
I have to make a list of what else I have around. but easiest to trade a heliconia for a heliconia.

Hey bundgie: thanks for the offer.
but thats whats known as the parrots beak and I have plenty of that. LOL. Thanks to me foolishly planting it in the ground last year in three spots!!!!
I'm about to dig it up today( if i can get outside, been a little sick ) and pass it along to a friend in another forum. I just have way too much of it.
grows great but, planted it in the ground and it can get away from you.
Actually, parrot's beak or lobster claw is just a nickname for almost all heliconia. It does not refer to just one variety.
well I'll be darned LOL
learn something new everyday. LOL
= )
well never the less I have the same one you have . lol
dont need anymore. Pleazzzze = )
but if your interested in one of mine I'd still be happy to send you some.
Im going to divide them up this weekend. Maybe I could send someout on Monday.
FYI found a great site to buy some plants with great prices.
starting for as little as four dollars.
thanks to all who offered.
GG
GG- what site is it?? Share your great knowledge, please! :)
I don't remember having seen those low prices for Heliconias before... it'd be nice for future reference.

GG,
Are you still looking for the Distans? You never told me, one way or the other.
These are live plants, several feet tall, with large, well establised rhizomes - not seedlings that you'll get from a nursery.
Let me know, OK?
Steve
ohhhhhhhh So sorry, skaz.
I'll pass.
Been roaming the net. LOL
gotta cut back on the surfing.
Gina, Looking for the site now.
forgot to bookmark it. its tropical something or other.
I'll find it and post. I think i saw they have gingers too.
would be interested to see if others have ordered from them
and how it went.
Got it
