Stanley Park after the ferocious winds on the West Coast of

Blyth, ON(Zone 5b)

Wow, what a mess. It is so sad to see those huge old trees downed like that.

Heartbreaking. The loss must be especially hard to bear for the folks who work in the park, to see "their" trees down.

White Lake, ON(Zone 4b)

Wow, that's just devastating...

Sandy

What a mess. I took a look at all those photos. Wow........is right.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 2b)

Many thanks for the pix, Roselaine. What a disaster. Reminds me of the Halifax park after Juan, only far worse.

And some more great ones fell today! E

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

and a few more since then I'm betting! Sorry to see such a treasured location/trees get hit so hard! :(

North Saanich, Canada

Saw a report on the news today at noon, and saw Stanley Park from the air. It looks like a war zone, with snow on top! So many trees down. An unfortunate incident yesterday- a woman out running, a tree fell on top of her and she is in hospital with a concussion, two broken arms and a broken leg. So very unfortunate. Just in the wrong place at the very second that tree had to come down!
They showed a VERY large tree down, and they figure it is 500 years old. It was just humongous.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I think I'd avoid that park for awhile. ;S

I hope it ends soon for you......it seems so strange to see BC looking like the Martime Provinces (re snow) and them with well above zero temps.

Is there a trick to getting the link to work? I keep getting "page not found" messages.

Nope. Is it all there? I've had some long links leave lcharacters out on DG. Or do I need to sign in first?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

cut and paste what Roselaine posted in your address bar.......it works fine there.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

That's what I did and it doesn't work for me. Should some of it be cut off?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Then try c&p from the e in email onwards.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

nope it's from the http to the 6 just before the word email. I had it come up a number of ways when I tried making the link.

really weird. It works in preview. Just copy up to the quotation marks and paste.
