I have a big handful of native western white clematis (Clematis ligusticifolia http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/56865/index.html) seeds from the Santa Rosa Mountains of Northern Nevada. They have sprays of small white flowers; quite different from typical large flowered clematis. The plants are quite hardy and need moderate water availability (they grow in ditches and riparian areas here in the desert.)
Most of the seeds still have the fluffy tail attached and there is a little bit of dry stem and leaf pieces included. I will send these for trade or SASE or paypal for postage, anything from a couple dozen to about a hundred. I think I have several hundred to maybe a thousand seeds.
If anyone is looking for seeds of certain Great Basin native plants, send me a dmail with the species you seeking. My job takes me all over the state of Nevada and parts of California and I often pick a handful of seeds when I find them (I was planting cottonwood saplings when I found these Clematis seeds.) I can't guarantee anything but I will keep an eye out for certain species.
Have western white clematis
You have d-mail
katlian,
you have *more* d-mail!
Sherry
And more d-mail!
How are they different from the Clematis terniflora?
I have those in my yard, but if these are a bit different, I would like some if you still have any.
WIndy,
the ligusticifolia are dioecious with more dentate leaves.
I still have plenty of seeds (hundreds)!
Katlian, I would love to try some of your clematis seeds, I can send you a sase out tomorrow :o)

Ok , Would you be interested in some four o clock seeds that are not like the regular mirabilis jalapa ones, but are more open in branching and the scent is different. I think they smell like grape kool-ade some say they smell like jasmine. They are pastel colors of yellow and salmon and pink mix.
i'd love some seeds too if still available....thanks, lynda
Got the seeds Saturday. Thank you.
